The quoted transformer and line amounts exclude concreting, labour and overheads. The 25 kVA amount assumes three connections; it is not the cost of a dedicated transformer. How the estimate works
The calculator adds the meter charge, applicable transformer share, approved line length multiplied by the selected rate, and the other amounts you enter. It then subtracts the amount already credited toward those items. Unknown fees stay marked “Not entered,” so the result is a priced subtotal rather than a complete connection quote.

For the shared 25 kVA reference arrangement with 100 metres of new line, the package and line subtotal is ₹69,318. Processing, security, additional work and any applicable tax remain extra until entered.
What to enter from your DISCOM estimate
- Confirm the sanctioned pump load and connection arrangement after the site survey.
- Use the approved new 11 kV line length. An existing transformer, different route or different equipment can change the estimate.
- Enter processing, security and additional work exactly as priced. Use custom mode if the official estimate differs from the reference package.
- Avoid counting the same material, line work or paid fee twice.
Custom mode is useful for existing infrastructure and other surveyed arrangements. It does not assume an existing connection is free. Use the applicable metering, infrastructure and line figures provided by the DISCOM.
Apply for a private tube-well connection
Use the official UPPCL Private Tube Well portal to register, submit an application and follow the application process. The portal provides online payment of the processing fee and estimated cost, application tracking and information about inspection and installation. Check the official demand notice before paying. Frequently asked questions
Can I calculate connection cost using only pump HP?
No. HP helps describe the load, but the approved line route, transformer arrangement, infrastructure and other charges determine the connection estimate.
Is ₹42,518 the complete tube-well connection cost?
No. It is the meter and transformer-share reference subtotal for the shared arrangement. Line work, omitted construction items and application-related amounts need to be considered separately.
Why does the calculator ask me to enter security and processing charges?
Your applicable demand notice is the best basis for these amounts. The calculator does not fill in older fees or assume they are zero.
Does a monthly agriculture electricity subsidy cover the connection cost?
Do not deduct a recurring bill concession from an upfront connection estimate unless an official sanction explicitly credits it toward those connection charges.
What costs are outside this calculator?
Borewell drilling, pump purchase, private installation costs and recurring electricity bills are outside the calculator. Include only the connection-related amounts you intend to compare with the DISCOM demand.
